About TerminalFox
TerminalFox is a practical guide to US airports. Each guide answers the questions travelers actually search for: where to park and what it costs, which security checkpoint to use, how to reach the rental cars or the city, where the lounges are and where to eat.
Guides last checked October 15, 2026.
What every airport guide covers
Each airport has an overview page (terminals, airlines by terminal, getting between terminals, Wi-Fi, lost and found) and seven topic pages:
- Airport parking. Garages and economy lots with dated rates, shuttles, cell phone lots and how to book.
- Security checkpoints. Checkpoints by terminal, opening hours, TSA PreCheck and CLEAR, and when to arrive.
- Car rental. Where the rental car center is, how to get there and how to return the car.
- Getting to the city. Train, bus, shuttle, taxi and rideshare: where to catch them, fares and travel times.
- Airport hotels. Hotels with an airport shuttle, their address and where to wait for the shuttle.
- Airport lounges. Every lounge by terminal, opening hours and who gets in.
- Food and drink. Restaurants by terminal, before or after security, with early and late options.
The overview also shows key figures: the number of airlines in the airport's official directory, the passenger count for the last full year from the operator's traffic report, and the distance to downtown.

How we research and check each guide
- Official sources first. We read the airport operator's own website in full, including its parking rates, maps, directories and traffic reports. Then we add the TSA, transit agencies, airlines, rental car companies, hotels and lounge networks for what they publish about that airport. Blogs and review sites are never used as a source.
- One fact, one source. Every price, hour, phone number and rule in a guide is tied to the page it came from, with a short quote, so it can be checked again.
- A second check before publishing. Each page is then checked line by line against those sources by a separate reviewer, and we audit guides against the airport's own pages to catch what is missing or out of date.
- Dates on everything. Each page shows the date it was last checked, and every price carries the date we saw it. Prices change, so the guide always links to the official page.
- No guessing. When an airport does not publish something, the guide says so and tells you who to ask, instead of filling the gap with an estimate. When two official pages disagree, we show both.
- Directions that lead somewhere. The Waze, Apple Maps and Google Maps buttons for parking lots, rental cars and hotels use the address the operator publishes. When only a name is published, we test it in Google Maps, and if it leads to the wrong place, the button is removed.
Live data and forecasts
Airport pages show live weather from the NOAA Aviation Weather Center, in local time. Where a transit agency shares open data, as the MTA does in New York, the guide adds service alerts and next departures, with the agency's own notice.
Our TSA wait times tool forecasts how many travelers each security checkpoint will screen, hour by hour, from the official TSA throughput data published in the TSA FOIA Reading Room. It is a forecast, not a live wait time: the airport's own website remains the reference on the day you fly.
Independent, and how we make money
Partners never pay to appear in a guide or to rank higher. If the official option is the best one, we say so. Some links may be partner links: we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you, and that never changes what we write.
Photos come from Unsplash and are credited to their photographers. We only use a photo when it clearly shows the airport on the page.
Meet Foxy
Foxy is our mascot: a fox with a nose for airport shortcuts. You will find Foxy's tips on every guide, short pieces of advice drawn from the same checked facts as the rest of the page.
