LGA terminals and airlines by terminal

LaGuardia has three terminals, but only two are open to passengers. Here is where each airline is listed, according to LGA's official airline list:

  • Terminal A (Marine Air Terminal): closed to the public. No commercial flights.
  • Terminal B: Air Canada, American Airlines, Frontier Airlines, JetBlue, Porter Airlines, Southwest Airlines and United Airlines.
  • Terminal C: Delta.

The official list shows 8 airlines in total. It says details can change, so check your airline or boarding pass before you leave.

LGA is Delta's New York hub. Delta's Terminal C has 37 gates on four concourses (Delta, September 2025), and Delta calls itself New York's largest carrier. Delta peak days have about 270 departures to nearly 70 destinations.

What's changing at LGA right now

Check these before you fly:

  • Terminal A is closed to the public, and no commercial flights operate there. LGA publishes no reopening date.
  • LGA's Terminal A page says Spirit Airlines has ceased operations and no Spirit flights are arriving or departing.
  • Check the alerts banner on laguardiaairport.com for traffic and road advisories on the day you travel.

Walking times and security at LGA

LGA publishes walk times from security to gates. In Terminal B, gates 11 to 31 are 4 to 6 minutes and gates 40 to 59 are 6 to 9 minutes. In Terminal C, gates 60 to 69 are 9 to 11 minutes, gates 70 to 79 are 5 to 7 minutes, gates 80 to 89B are 3 to 5 minutes and gates 92 to 98 are 5 to 10 minutes.

TSA PreCheck lanes operate in both Terminal B and Terminal C, and LGA posts PreCheck wait times for each. Terminal B also offers PreCheck Touchless ID with select airlines and sells B-FAST, a front-of-the-line security pass. CLEAR lists its CLEAR+ lanes at Terminal C only. Live security wait times for Terminal B and Terminal C are on the LGA home page and on each terminal page.

If your connection means switching terminals, you must go through security screening again.

Getting between terminals

The free All Terminals Shuttle stops at every terminal, the pre-paid Economy Lot (Parking Lot 7), Hangar 7 South and 94th Street. It runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week: every 15 minutes at peak hours and every 20 minutes off peak. LGA offers live shuttle tracking on its site. Rental car companies run their own shuttles from marked stops at each terminal. LGA's shuttle page does not list rental car stops, although the car rental page says the shuttle connects to rental cars, so follow your rental company's instructions.

Terminals B and C are also linked by a pedestrian path, according to LGA's Connections Guide.

The free LaGuardia Link Q70 bus runs every 8 to 10 minutes from the airport, per the MTA. It stops in front of Terminals B and C. It goes to Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Av/74 St-Broadway for the subway. For the LIRR, stay on the Q70 past Jackson Heights to the next stop, Woodside, then follow the signs. From Terminal A, take the airport shuttle to Terminal B to catch it.

Hotel shuttles pick up in a designated area outside the terminals; follow the signs for Hotel Shuttles.

Hotels near LGA

LGA's hotel page lists 10 off-airport hotels, all with free shuttles, according to the airport: Airway Inn, Aloft New York LaGuardia Airport, Fairfield Inn New York LaGuardia Airport, Hampton Inn New York LaGuardia Airport, Hilton Garden Inn Flushing LaGuardia, Holiday Inn Express Maspeth, Hyatt Place Flushing/LaGuardia Airport, Double Tree by Hilton New York LGA, New York LaGuardia Airport Marriott and voco Fiorello LaGuardia East. Hotel shuttles pick up and drop off in designated areas outside each terminal. We do not list room prices.

Wi-Fi

Free Wi-Fi is available. Select the network called _Free LGA WiFi. For help, call +1 (800) 880-4117; support from Boingo is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Lost and found

LGA uses a virtual lost and found office. File a claim online for personal items lost in the airport, including passports and other travel documents. For an item lost at a TSA checkpoint, file the same claim or submit a TSA Lost and Found form and choose LGA from the drop-down. If your checked bag is missing or you left something on the plane, contact your airline directly. LGA's lost and found page does not list a phone number, hold period or office hours, so use the online claim at laguardiaairport.com/lost-and-found.

Luggage storage and baggage help

We did not find a left-luggage or bag storage service on LGA's official pages. If you need to leave bags, ask your airline or a nearby hotel before you plan around it. LGA does list luggage carts, a baggage office and oversized baggage services, and says porter services are available. If a bag is lost or delayed, contact your airline first.

Connecting through LGA

LaGuardia has three terminals, so you may arrive at one and depart from another. Check your airline app or the monitors for your next gate. If you booked separate tickets, you may need to collect your bags and check in again with the connecting airline. If your connection means switching terminals, you go through security again.

Air Canada and Porter fly from Terminal B. LGA's Connections Guide lists "preclearance international arrival to domestic flight" as a connection type but gives no steps. CBP explains that Preclearance travelers bypass CBP and TSA inspections on U.S. arrival, because they are inspected at the Canadian airport before boarding. Ask your airline whether your flight is a Preclearance flight, since you then do not clear customs at LGA. LGA does not publish customs steps for other international arrivals, so for a flight from outside Canada, follow your airline's instructions and the signs for customs.

Accessibility services

For wheelchair, guided assistance or oxygen, contact your airline, travel agent or TSA Cares before you fly. For help with TSA screening, submit a TSA Cares request at least 72 hours ahead, or call +1 (855) 787-2227 if your flight is sooner.
