LGA Parking: Lots, Reservations, EV Charging and Rules

LaGuardia has terminal parking for B and C (Terminal A is closed to the public, though its lot is still listed), plus a prepaid Economy Lot that takes reservations only. The airport recommends booking at least 3 hours ahead. We found no published rates on the official page, so check the booking site for prices.

Your options at a glance

LGA parking lots

LaGuardia lists these parking options:

  • Terminal A Parking
  • Terminal B Parking (a garage)
  • Terminal C Parking (a garage)
  • Prepaid Economy Parking, which is reservation only

Terminal A is closed to the public with no commercial flights, so check the booking site before choosing the Terminal A lot. Reserved premium spaces closer to the terminal are offered in each lot. Premium spaces must be booked in advance and cash is not accepted.

Parking rates

We found no hourly, daily or maximum rates on the official parking page. The only price published there is the $35 24-hour maximum for travelers using the restricted mobility discount.

For current rates, use the airport's booking site or call the general parking line at +1 (718) 533-3400. Prices change, so always confirm before you go.

Reserving a spot

The airport says you save money and guarantee a spot by reserving at least 3 hours in advance. If you are parking for more than three hours, it strongly encourages you to pre-book.

You may enter your reserved lot up to 2 hours before your booked time. Allow extra time when you arrive. The home page also carries an offer to save money by reserving at least 24 hours ahead, so book early for the best chance at a discount.

The airport also shows how full each lot is. That figure changes all day, so check it right before you go.

Shuttle from the lots

The free All Terminals Shuttle runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It comes every 15 minutes at peak times and every 20 minutes off peak.

Stops are at every terminal, the prepaid Economy Lot (Parking Lot 7), Hangar 7 South and 94th Street. You can track the bus in real time on the airport site.

How to pay

You can pay with a Mastercard, Visa, Discover or American Express card, E-ZPass, or Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay. The airport suggests an Express Pay machine for a faster exit.

E-ZPass Plus works if you are registered and keep a valid credit card on your E-ZPass account. It is not accepted in the Terminal A Parking lot. Use the lanes with purple E-ZPass signs and do not pull a ticket. Fees of $20 or under come out of your E-ZPass balance, and larger fees go to the linked credit card.

Accessible parking

Spaces for travelers with disabilities are in every lot near the terminal entrance, subject to availability. Display a non-expired, state-issued ADA plate, placard or permit. You cannot reserve these spaces.

There is a courtesy discount for official ADA plates, placards or permits. It applies after at least 4.5 hours, in 30-minute increments, with a 24-hour maximum of $35. You must enter through the ticket lane, not E-ZPass. The discount cannot be combined with a reservation or E-ZPass payment. Press HELP at the exit to have an attendant validate your tag.

EV charging

Level II chargers (ChargePoint):

  • Terminal B garage: 4 ports on Level 4.
  • Terminal C garage: 6 ports on the 2nd level and 5 ports on the first level.

You pay the normal garage fee when you exit. Pay for charging with a credit card, mobile wallet, ChargePoint RFID card, the ChargePoint app or Tap to Charge.

Level III fast chargers (Electrify America): 12 ports along Runway Drive just past 94th Street when heading west. The airport page does not give charging prices.

Cell phone lot and curb rules

LaGuardia has a free cell phone lot for waiting before you pick up or drop off a passenger. The airport says it is off-airport on 94th Street between 23rd Avenue and Ditmars Boulevard, open 7 days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. ET. It describes the lot as less than 10 minutes from all terminals, while another LGA page calls it a 10-minute walk. Type "LGA Free Cell Phone Lot" into your GPS, the name the airport gives.

Terminal curbsides are for active pick-ups and drop-offs only. Do not park on airport roads or terminal fronts, and unattended vehicles are towed at the owner's expense. Passengers must be ready with all of their bags. If yours is not ready, wait at the cell phone lot until they call.

The airport page lists no time limit for curbside drop-off. Curbside bag check costs extra with some airlines: American at Terminal B charges $4 per bag plus standard bag fees, while Southwest (Terminal B) and Delta (Terminal C) add no curbside charge beyond standard bag fees.

Long stays, motorcycles and off-airport lots

If you plan to park for more than 30 days in any lot, call ABM at +1 (718) 533-3850 when you arrive and register your vehicle. Unregistered cars parked over 30 days will be towed.

Motorcycle parking is free near Terminal A. Follow signs to Parking P7, where 10 spots run along the fence.

The airport says to park only on-airport or with an authorized off-airport provider. Authorized providers listed: AirPark LaGuardia at +1 (718) 898-8400, Hyatt Place Flushing at +1 (718) 888-1234 and Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel at +1 (718) 460-6666.
