Q70 LaGuardia Link: free bus to the subway

The Q70 is free to board at the airport. It stops at Terminals B and C and runs nonstop to the Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Av/74 St-Broadway subway hub (the airport names two hubs there: Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue and 74 St-Broadway). The MTA says it comes every 8 to 10 minutes and the trip takes about 15 minutes in typical traffic. The MTA does not state operating hours, so check the MTA bus info before a very early or late flight.

At the hub you pay the subway fare, listed by the MTA as $3 for most riders. Tap a credit or debit card, phone, wearable or OMNY card. The airport says the connection serves the E train, which also links to the JFK AirTrain.

Q70 to the LIRR at Woodside

Stay on the Q70 past Jackson Heights to the next stop, Woodside-61 St, then follow signs for the LIRR. The MTA says to ride one more stop past the Jackson Heights subway stop to reach Woodside. Buy tickets in the TrainTime app. The MTA lists Woodside to Penn Station or Grand Central at $5.25 off-peak and $7.25 at peak, and says the exact fare depends on time and eligibility. Check the LIRR schedule for your train.

M60 SBS: the bus that serves every terminal

The MTA says the M60 stops at every airport terminal. It goes through Astoria and into Manhattan along 125th Street, with stops at 106th, 116th and 120th Streets and Broadway and along 125th Street. A Metro-North station is at Harlem-125 Street.

The MTA page lists the fare as $3 in one place and $2.90 in another, so confirm it on mta.info. It gives no travel time. Transfers between subway and bus are free for two hours with the same card or device.

Taxi: where to board and what it costs

Taxis are available at all terminals. Join the line and the dispatcher sends you to the next cab. No reservation. At Terminal B, the stand is curbside on arrivals Level 2. At Terminal C, it is curbside on arrivals Level 1. After baggage claim, follow the signs.

Price and frequency are not published by the airport.

Vans, shuttles and car services

Authorized van and shuttle providers, per the airport: Airlink New York, ETS Air Shuttle, All County Express and Go Airlink. Authorized private car service: Carmel Super Saver. Pickup is at the same spots as ride apps, following the Car Services signs.
