SEA concourses and airlines by concourse

SEA has one Main Terminal (ticketing, baggage claim, the security checkpoints) and, after security, four concourses (A, B, C, D) and two satellites (N and S). The Central Terminal is the dining and shopping hall between the concourses. Here is where airlines fly from, according to SEA's official airline directory:

  • A Concourse: Delta Air Lines and WestJet. The International Arrivals Facility connects to A.
  • B Concourse: Delta, Frontier, Southwest, United and WestJet.
  • C Concourse: Alaska Airlines.
  • D Concourse: Alaska Airlines and American Airlines.
  • N Concourse: Alaska Airlines.
  • S Concourse: Aer Lingus, AeroMexico, Air Canada, Air France, ANA, Asiana, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, China Airlines, Condor, Emirates, EVA Air, Finnair, Hainan, Hawaiian, Icelandair, Japan Airlines, JetBlue, Korean Air, Lufthansa, Philippine Airlines, Qatar Airways, SAS, Singapore Airlines, STARLUX, Turkish, Virgin Atlantic and Volaris.
  • Air Mobility Command and Sun Country: the directory says to refer to your boarding pass.

The directory shows only the concourse, not exact gates. An older 2021 train guide lists some airlines differently, for example United and JetBlue at A. Airlines move, so confirm your concourse on your boarding pass, the airport screens or the flySEA app.

Hub airlines at SEA

SEA is a hub for two airlines.

  • Alaska Airlines: Alaska Air Group says its Seattle hub is the largest on the West Coast of any carrier, serving 104 nonstop destinations (Alaska Air Group release, December 2024). Alaska flies from C, D and N, and its lounges are near gates C16A, D1 and N15.
  • Delta: Delta calls Seattle its hub and says it operates nearly 162 peak-day departures to 57 destinations from SEA (Delta, September 2025). It has 18 preferential gates at SEA. Delta says its Delta One Lounge and Delta Sky Club complex is across from Gate A11, while the Port's lounge directory lists the Sky Club near A1 and a Sky Lounge near A11.

What this means for you: a connection on Alaska or Delta can be a short train ride. Hub schedules change, so use your airline's app for gates.

What's changing at SEA right now

Check these before you fly:

  • SEA Spot Saver, the security reservation program, will no longer be available starting November 30, 2026. Reservations booked through November 29 will be honored at TSA Checkpoint 4.
  • A banner on the Port's reserved parking page says Reserved Parking in the garage expands to Level 5 on October 13. It shows no year, so check the page if you plan to park.
  • The Port announced duty-free expansions on October 6, 2026, and 17 new dining and retail stores on September 15, 2026. It has not published opening dates.
  • The Delta One Lounge and Delta Sky Club building at the end of the A Concourse opened June 26, 2025.
  • The station and escalator upgrade at Concourse C, which connects to the North Satellite and Main Terminal train, is listed as completed.
  • The airport lists traffic and roadway construction alerts on its ground transportation pages. Check them before you drive.

Arrivals, departures and security

SEA says to arrive two hours before a domestic flight and three hours before an international one. The Port says more than one third of daily passengers arrive before 9 a.m., with other peaks from 2 to 5 p.m. and 9 to 11 p.m.

For flight times and gate changes, check your airline or portseattle.org.

The SEA home page and portseattle.org/page/live-estimated-checkpoint-wait-times show live wait times for Checkpoints 1 to 6. Look before you leave.

Checkpoint 4 also takes SEA Spot Saver reservations until November 30, 2026. People who are not flying can get a SEA Visitor Pass for Checkpoint 4 (domestic arrivals only).

Getting around SEA

After you clear security, all concourses are connected, and you do not have to go through TSA again when you connect. SEA says the airport is small enough that it usually takes two to five minutes to reach where you are going.

The train, the SEA Underground, is how you get between concourses. If your gate is on the N or S Concourse, you need it. The Port's blog says a train arrives every three minutes (September 2025). The airport doesn't publish operating hours. SEA's train guide (2020 and 2021 versions, so check the signs) describes three loops:

  • Yellow Line (terminal shuttle): connects the S, B and A stations with the N, C and D stations. The D and A stations are linked.
  • Blue Line (south loop): serves A, B and S. A Station is across from Gate A3, B Station is down the escalators at gates B20 and B21, and S Station is below the S gates.
  • Green Line (north loop): serves D, N and C, which is the loop for most Alaska flights. D Station is across from Gate D2, and C Station is by Gate C11.

Train signs and announcements are in several languages. The interactive map and the flySEA app (iOS and Android) give directions to your gate.

Food and drink at SEA

The Central Terminal is SEA's main dining hall. The airport's Central Terminal map (September 1, 2026) lists these dining options: BrewTop Social, Dilettante Mocha Cafe, Evergreens, Koi Shi Sushi Bento, Lucky Louie Fish Shack, Pallino, Pei Wei Asian Kitchen, QDOBA, Salty's at SEA, Starbucks Evenings, Taco Street and Vyne Tasting Room.

Retail there: Coach, Dufry Duty Free, Fireworks, Hudson, MAC, Made in Washington, Marmot, Planewear, Seattle Chocolates and TUMI. The Baggage Claim level has a Starbucks, an Urban Market and a 7-Eleven.

Other concourses have more options, and SEA says new dining and retail stores are coming. Use ExploreSEA.org or the interactive map for hours and for what is before or after security.

Wi-Fi

Connect to SEA-FREE-WIFI. The Port says Wi-Fi is free in all public areas of the airport. You accept terms and conditions and may see a short ad. The airport's user agreement notes that access points may not reach every area, and the Port may limit bandwidth or some websites.

International arrivals and customs

International flights arrive at the International Arrivals Facility, which connects to the A Concourse. The Port gives three steps: 1. Bags first. You must claim your checked bags before passport control, even if you connect. 2. Passport control with U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Global Entry is available for all international flights. Mobile Passport Control is free for U.S. and Canadian citizens. The Port says processing can take 60 minutes or longer in peak periods and suggests at least three hours between landing and a connecting flight (its connections page says 2 to 3 hours). 3. Connect or exit. Connecting passengers recheck their bags with their airline, go through TSA and arrive in the A Concourse. The International Arrivals Facility TSA checkpoint is open 6 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. Pacific Time, and PreCheck is only at the main terminal checkpoints. Everyone else exits to Gina Marie Lindsey Hall on the Baggage Claim level at the south end of the terminal, near the international airlines.

Meeting someone? Friends and family can meet most international arrivals at Gina Marie Lindsey Hall without a pass. If a passenger comes from Dublin or Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Toronto or Vancouver, they have already cleared U.S. entry, so you can meet them at the arrival gate with a SEA Visitor Pass. The Global Entry enrollment office is on the Baggage Claim level; the Port lists it open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Cruise passengers

Seattle is a cruise port, and many cruise passengers fly through SEA. Ships sail from Pier 91 (Smith Cove) and Pier 66 (Bell Street), not from the airport. SEA has a Cruise Lobby and a charter bus area on Level 1 of the parking garage.

The Port says Metro bus service is not a convenient option to either cruise terminal: for Pier 91, routes 24 and 33 from downtown stop on a bridge, about a 10 minute walk down a staircase, and Pier 66 has no bus service from the downtown core. Check Metro's trip planner.

Port Valet is free luggage transfer from the ship to your airline if you fly home the day you disembark, on Alaska, American, Delta, Horizon, JetBlue, Southwest or United flights leaving after noon (Delta domestic only). Carnival, Celebrity, Cunard, Holland America, Norwegian, Princess and Royal Caribbean take part. Enroll before your cruise or onboard.

Lost and found

The Airport Lost and Found Office is on the Baggage Claim Level across from Carousel 13. SEA lists it as open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pacific Time. Call (206) 787-5312. Filing is free, and you can report an item online at sea.odinlf.com/lost-item-inquiry. Lost and Found offers FedEx shipping through the online system, or someone can claim the item for you. Items are held for a minimum of 30 days.

For something left on a plane, contact your airline. For something left in an airport taxi, call Curbside Management at 206-708-6504.

Baggage storage

Smarte Carte runs a baggage storage service on the Baggage Claim Level between Carousels 9 and 10. SEA lists it as first-come, first-served with no reservations needed, open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, with short closures from 11:30 a.m. to noon and 6 to 6:30 p.m. The price isn't on the airport's page, so ask at the counter.

SEA does not handle airline bags itself. For delayed or damaged bags, contact your airline; the Port's Airline Baggage Information page lists each airline's baggage phone or form. The baggage claim carousels are numbered 2 to 16 and the screens show yours. Luggage carts are at the international arrivals facility, baggage claim, curbside and the parking garage.
