SRQ says downtown Sarasota is six miles south of the airport and downtown Bradenton ten miles north. Everything leaves from the Ground Transportation area at the west end of the terminal, next to baggage claim:
- Public bus: Sarasota County's Breeze Transit and Manatee County Area Transit (MCAT).

- Other taxi or limo companies: call ahead, then meet the car in the second lane of the queuing area.

SRQ lists buses as its only public transit.
Public bus: Breeze Transit and MCAT
Buses from both Manatee and Sarasota counties stop in the Ground Transportation area at the west end of baggage claim, and SRQ says they run regularly to downtown Sarasota and downtown Bradenton. The airport asks you to contact the transit agencies for schedules and fares:
- Breeze Transit (Sarasota County): 941-861-5000.
- MCAT (Manatee County): 941-749-7116.
Standard Breeze routes run 5am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and 6am to 10pm on Sunday. Start and stop times vary by route. They don't run on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day.
MCAT describes Route 99 as running between its Downtown Station in Bradenton and the Sarasota Downtown Station, Monday to Saturday except holidays. When you call, ask which route serves the airport stop and when, since the agencies' route pages don't name it.
The Breeze Rider tool maps your trip and shows real-time arrival estimates.
Paying for the bus
Breeze takes cash, ride tickets, 30-day passes, credit vouchers and, since April 25, 2026, mobile tickets in the Token Transit app. If you overpay in cash, the extra goes on a Change Voucher for a future ride. You pay each time you board, including on a transfer.
SRQ does not list bus fares. As of August 2025, per Sarasota County 311, a standard Breeze fare was $1.50 on the bus and a 30-day pass was $50. Fares can change, so confirm with Breeze at 941-861-5000 or MCAT at 941-749-7116 before you ride.
Every Breeze bus has a wheelchair ramp with two wheelchair spaces, a two-bike rack and wireless internet.
Uber and Lyft at SRQ
Request your ride in the Uber or Lyft app and follow its instructions. Signs point to the pickup zone at the far west end of the ticket wing, in the Ground Transportation area. SRQ does not publish rideshare fares, so check the estimate in the app.
ALD Limo and taxis
ALD Limo is SRQ's on-demand service for every arriving flight. Its eco-friendly sedans, luxury sedans and SUVs wait just outside baggage claim on the west end of the terminal. A uniformed starter matches you with a vehicle, gives you a fixed rate for your destination and loads your bags. The free ALD Limo app shows guaranteed rates, or call 855-799-LIMO.
You can use another taxi or limo company, but you must call ahead and arrange pickup in the second lane of the Ground Transportation queuing area. A taxi starter near the exit door can help, and courtesy phones by the exit doors connect you to assistance if no car is waiting.
Hotel shuttles
Hotels permitted to pick up at SRQ in 2026 include Aloft Sarasota, Art Ovation, DoubleTree by Hilton SRQ, Embassy Suites Sarasota, Hampton Sarasota Bradenton Airport, Hilton Garden Inn and Home2 Suites, Hyatt Place Sarasota, the St. Regis Longboat Key Resort and voco Sarasota. Courtesy shuttles may meet you in the Ground Transportation queuing area. SRQ recommends calling your hotel before you arrive to confirm the pickup.
