Where the rental cars are
The rental car companies at O'Hare are in the Multi-Modal Facility, or MMF. The address is 10255 W. Zemke Blvd., Chicago, IL 60666.
The airport's rental page sends you to the MMF, not to a terminal counter. Take the ATS there.
The MMF also serves Pace bus Routes 250 and 330 and the Metra North Central train. Rideshare, taxi and limo drop-off and loading at the MMF happen only at the Kiss 'n' Fly, reached from Door 6. O'Hare's pages place it on different corners of the building (northwest on the Multi-Modal Facility page, northeast on the drop-off page), so follow the signs.
How to get from each terminal to the MMF
Take the Airport Transit System (ATS) from Terminal 1, 2, 3 or 5. It is an automated people mover that serves the MMF as one of its five stations.
- Frequency: every 3 to 5 minutes during peak hours.
- Hours: 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- Cost: free. O'Hare's Terminal 5 map calls the ATS a "Free 24 Hour/7 Days a Week Airport Train".
- Ride time: about 10 minutes from one end of the line (Terminal 1) to the other (the MMF). Your ride is shorter from the stops in between.

Off-airport companies
Two companies are off airport property but still pick up at the MMF:
- ACE Rent A Car: (866) 551-8267
- Routes Car Rental: (847) 671-4000
The airport says they pick up and drop off in the MMF building at bus bay 1. Off-property companies may not offer accessible transportation, so ask them first if you need it.
Hours and fees
O'Hare does not post rental counter hours or airport fees. Each company sets its own hours. Check your confirmation, then call the number above if your flight lands late.
Rental taxes and airport fees show up in your final quote, not on the airport page. Compare the total price, not just the daily rate.
Returning your car
The airport's rental page does not give return directions. Follow the return signs for your company and ask it which MMF entrance to use when you book.
Once your car is dropped, take the ATS back to your terminal. Add the ATS ride and your security time to your plan.
Turo and peer-to-peer rentals
O'Hare's pages say nothing about Turo or other peer-to-peer car sharing. If you book one, ask the host exactly where to meet. Do not assume it is at the MMF.
Accessibility
The ATS is accessible from Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 5. For help at the MMF, the airport lists a service animal relief area outside the building: exit through Door 6 and turn right.
Wheelchair-accessible rideshare vehicles pick up at the Kiss 'n' Fly at the MMF as well as at the lower level of each terminal. Off-property companies may not offer accessible shuttles, so ask them first.
