Miami International Airport
MIA Gate Map: Concourses D to J, Skytrain and E Satellite
MIA has six concourses: D in the North Terminal, E, F and G in the Central Terminal, and H and J in the South Terminal. The letter of your gate is its concourse. Concourse D is a mile long, so take the Skytrain if your gate is at the far end.

How to get to your gate at MIA
Check in on Level 2, then find the letter of your gate: that is your concourse. MIA's gate map shows which gates each security checkpoint serves:
- Checkpoints 1, 2 and 3 (North Terminal): Gates D1 to D60. MIA labels them American PreCheck, American Priority and American Main.
- Checkpoint 4: Gates D1 to D60 and E1 to E33.
- Checkpoint 5: Gates E1 to E33 and D1 to D60.
- Checkpoint 6: Gates F1 to F23.
- Checkpoint 7: Gates G1 to G19.
- Checkpoints 8, 9 and 10 (South Terminal): Gates H3 to H17 and J2 to J18.
Hours differ by checkpoint. On October 10, 2026, MIA listed Checkpoint 9 as open 24 hours, and Checkpoints 1 to 8 and 10 as opening between 3:30 am and 4:15 am. MIA doesn't publish walking times from the checkpoints to the gates, so leave extra time, especially in Concourse D.
Riding the Skytrain in Concourse D
Concourse D is a mile long, and MIA says to allow at least 30 minutes to walk all of it. The Skytrain runs above the concourse, with trains about every 3 minutes. Take the elevators up to the stations. Each station has one lobby for domestic passengers and one for international passengers.
The 4 stations, about a quarter mile apart, serve these gates on MIA's map:
- Station 1: D1 to D19
- Station 2: D20 to D25, with baggage claim and the terminal exit
- Station 3: D26 to D39 (the map also lists E1 to E33 here)
- Station 4: D40 to D60
Concourse E and the E Satellite
Concourse E has two parts. Gates E1 to E11 are in the main concourse, next to the Central Terminal. Gates E20 to E33 are in the E Satellite, a separate building that is part of Concourse E. The E Train links the two on MIA's gate map.
The map also shows a D-E Connector between Concourse D and Concourse E. The British Airways Lounge is on level 4 of the E Satellite.
International flights and U.S. Customs
MIA has three U.S. Immigration and Customs areas, in Concourses D, E and J. If you land at Concourse F, you can take the courtesy trolley to the Concourse D international arrivals facility.
Customs exits differ: in Concourses D and E you come out on the 1st level, and in Concourse J on the 3rd level. Your boarding pass and the airport screens show your departure gate.
Reading MIA gate numbers
Each gate is a letter and a number, such as D25 or J7. Not every number is used. Concourse D has no D13 or D18 and jumps from D55 to D60. Concourse E jumps from E11 to E20, the E Satellite gates. The gate map labels F gates from F3 and H gates from H3, even though Checkpoint 6 is signed F1 to F23.
One more quirk: the South Terminal map prints the label G4 twice and shows no G8. MIA's flight board lists departures from Gate G8, so G8 is in our list too.
Gates change. Check your boarding pass, the MIA flight board and the airport screens, or type your gate in the finder above.
