MCO Car Rental: Counters, Shuttles and Off-Airport Cars

MCO has no single rental car center. Ten brands work from counters in Terminals A and B and Terminal C, and 36 more send free shuttles to the airport. The airport lists a pickup and return spot for each brand, and a new Terminal C rental car lobby is listed for Fall 2026.

Your options at a glance

Where to pick up a rental car at MCO

MCO has no single rental car center. The ten big on-airport brands (Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, Payless, Sixt and Thrifty) work from counters inside the terminal complex. Terminals A and B list rental car agencies on Level 1 of their facilities map. Terminal C lists them on Level 4, next to the toll pass counter.

MCO publishes no street address for a rental car center, because the counters are inside the terminal complex. Your confirmation email or the company's phone number is the safest way to confirm your counter. The section below gives the level each brand lists.

On-airport brands: pickup and return spots

MCO lists these pickup spots. A and B are one pickup list. Terminal C uses two parking garage areas, C1 and C2.

  • Alamo, Enterprise, National: pick up at Terminals A and B, Level R1; Terminal C, Parking C1.
  • Avis, Budget, Payless: pick up at Terminals A and B, Level R2; Terminal C, Parking C2.
  • Dollar, Hertz, Thrifty: pick up at Terminals A and B, Level R2; Terminal C, Parking C2.
  • Sixt: pick up at Terminals A and B, Level P1; Terminal C, Parking C1.

Returns are almost the same, but Avis, Budget, Dollar, Hertz, Payless and Thrifty split by terminal. Avis, Budget and Payless return at Terminal A Level R1 and Terminal B Level R2. Dollar, Hertz and Thrifty are the reverse: Terminal A Level R2 and Terminal B Level R1. Alamo, Enterprise and National return at Level R1 for both A and B. Sixt returns at Level P1. At Terminal C, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Hertz, Payless and Thrifty return to Parking C2, and Alamo, Enterprise, National and Sixt to Parking C1.

MCO does not explain what the R and P levels mean, so follow the rental car signs and ask at the counter.

Getting to Terminal C or the Train Station

Terminal C sits next to the Train Station and connects to it by a Pedestrian Bridge. Terminals A and B are reached from the Train Station by the Terminal Link, a people mover that takes about 4 minutes. The A and B end of that ride is on Level 3, between the security checkpoint for gates 70 to 129 and the Terminal B check-in desks.

If you are on a Terminal A or B flight and your company is pick-up only at Terminal C, or the other way around, plan on that 4 minute ride plus walking time. MCO publishes no wait or walk time for the full trip.

While MCO replaces the Gate Link trams to gates 70 to 129 (through fall 2027), it suggests adding 30 minutes to your rental car or ground transportation plan. A COBUS shuttle bus runs 24 hours a day between the gate areas, and the trip takes under 5 minutes.

Off-airport companies and their free shuttles

MCO lists 36 more rental companies that sit off the airport property. They send free shuttle buses to the airport. You find the shuttle on Level 1 (Ground Transportation) at these curb spaces:

  • Terminal A: spaces A11 to A13.
  • Terminal B: spaces B60 to B62.
  • Terminal C: spaces C277 to C278.
  • Train Station: spaces C3 to C4.

The list includes Fox Rent a Car, Easirent, Sonic Car Rental, Economy Rent a Car, Florida Van Rental, Bandago and Green Motion, among others. MCO publishes no shuttle schedule, off-airport addresses or ride times, so call your company for the street address and how long the ride takes. Phone numbers listed by MCO:

Fees, rates and tolls

MCO does not publish rental rates, taxes or airport fees on its rental car pages. Your total is set by your company, so read the quote carefully before you confirm and ask about airport charges at booking.

Tolls are a big deal around Orlando. MCO offers a Visitor Toll Pass. Pick it up at Terminal A Level 1, Terminal B Level 1 near bag carousel 28B, or Terminal C Level 4 near the rental counters. You must decline your rental company's toll program. Then you add the license plate of your rental car in the app and hang the pass on the rearview mirror. MCO says tolls go to the credit card tied to the pass with no additional fees or charges. Drop the pass in one of 14 return boxes in the airport at the end of your trip.

Returning your rental car

Follow the return level for your brand listed above, then walk to your terminal or take the Terminal Link between A/B and the Train Station.

The Shell station at the South Travel Plaza is the gas station MCO lists. It is on the south entrance and exit road at the corner of Jeff Fuqua Blvd. and South Park Place, across from the Train Station. Fill up there before you return if you are on the south side. MCO lists no station for the north side.

New Terminal C rental car lobby (fall 2026)

MCO is building a Rental Car Lobby for Terminal C, next to the Pedestrian Bridge that links Terminal C and the Train Station. The $114 million project lists a timeline of Fall 2026 and includes rental counters, seating, restrooms and shops. Moving walkways on the bridge will be extended once it opens. It is for people who rent or return at Terminal C. On-site companies continue to serve Terminals A and B.

MCO's project page gives no opening date beyond the season, so check flymco.com or your company before you travel, because your pickup point could change.

Turo and other peer-to-peer rentals

MCO allows peer-to-peer car sharing in one place only: Surface Lot Atlantis, 10168 Jeff Fuqua Blvd. From Terminals A and B, ride the Terminal Link to the Train Station. From Terminal C, follow signs to the Train Station. Inside, follow signs for Surface Lots on Level 1. A shuttle leaves from outside the Train Station about every 10 minutes. Quick pick-ups and drop-offs are allowed at the curb in front of the Train Station.

MCO's Lot Atlantis page says the lot is closed beginning July 20 through mid-November, with possible short closures after that. It gives no year, so treat the lot as closed until mid-November. Ask your host where else to meet, and check the lot status on the MCO parking page before you go.
