Where the lounges are

United runs the most lounges here. Hours below are from the airport directory.

  • Terminal A: United Club near Gate A9 (7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.) and American Admirals Club at Gate A25 (4:15 a.m. to 7:45 p.m.)
  • Terminal B: United Club Fly in Terminal B South (5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.)
  • Terminal C: United Club near Gate C1 and United Club near Gate C33 (both 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.), and Minute Suites near Gate C14 or C15 (sources differ by one gate)
  • Terminal D: Centurion Lounge (American Express), KLM Crown Lounge near Gate D15, Air France Lounge near Gate D18, the IAH Executive Club near Gate D12, and a British Airways lounge
  • Terminal E: United Club and United Polaris Lounge, both near Gate E12 (Club 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Polaris 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.)

Houston Airports moved Air France, KLM and Lufthansa from Terminal D to Terminal E on March 3, 2026, with other airlines following in phases, and says lounge locations remain unchanged. The free Skyway links Terminals A, C and D/E inside security and runs every two minutes, so you can reach a lounge in another terminal without clearing screening again. United warns to allow at least 20 minutes for travel between terminals.

United Clubs and Polaris Lounge

IAH is a United hub, and the airport directory lists five United Clubs and the Polaris Lounge:

  • Terminal A, near Gate A9: 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Terminal B South, United Club Fly: 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. It opened in late February 2025 near the B gates.
  • Terminal C, near Gate C1 and near Gate C33: 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. each
  • Terminal E, near Gate E12: 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • United Polaris Lounge, Terminal E, near Gate E12: 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. It is for long-haul international business class travelers.

The directory says United Clubs admit United international business and first class passengers and United Club members. It also lists Star Alliance international business and first class and Star Alliance Gold members, with airlines named for the Terminal C and E clubs including Air Canada, Air New Zealand, ANA, Avianca, EVA Air, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines and Turkish Airlines.

The old United Club in the Terminal B processor building closed in January 2025 during the Terminal B rebuild. If you fly from Terminal B, you can use Club Fly or the clubs in Terminals A or C. United temporarily closed the Terminal B ticketing lobby starting January 21, 2025, and the airport's alert says Terminal B passengers check in, drop bags and clear TSA screening at Terminal C. Check the airport's alerts page for the current status. Houston Airports does not publish United Club day-pass prices or guest rules, so check united.com or the United app.

Centurion Lounge (Terminal D)

The American Express Centurion Lounge is in Terminal D on the mezzanine level. American Express tells you to take the elevator up from the duty-free shop near Gate D12. The airport directory lists it open 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

American Express lists the Platinum Card as the access route, and says access is not guaranteed and depends on space. You must be 21 to drink alcohol, and visitors under 18 need an adult.

Posted food service times on the Amex page: hot breakfast 6:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., lunch and dinner 11:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Beer, wine and limited cocktails start at 7:00 a.m. (10:00 a.m. on Sundays), and the full bar opens at 10:30 a.m.

The airport lists this lounge as one of the places with showers. Amex does not post a guest fee on the lounge page, so check your Amex account or the Terms link.

Priority Pass at IAH

Priority Pass lists six IAH venues. Two are lounges, both in Terminal D:

  • KLM Crown Lounge: Priority Pass shows daily 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., near Gate D16. The airport directory shows Gate D15 and 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Air France Lounge: Priority Pass shows daily 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., opposite Gate D18B. The airport directory shows Gate D18 and noon to 4 p.m.

Both cap your stay at 3 hours, admit children under 2 free, and can restrict entry at peak times when full. Hours and gates differ between the two sources and can change with the flight schedule, so allow for the shorter window and follow the signs in Terminal D.

Priority Pass also lists Minute Suites (Terminal C), Cadillac Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar (Terminal A), Landry's Seafood (Terminal C) and Be Relax Spa (Terminal D). At Cadillac, the benefit is $28 off your bill, plus another $28 off if you register one guest, and you need a card and a boarding pass for same-day travel. Prices change, so confirm with Priority Pass.

Admirals Club, Executive Club and other airline lounges

American Airlines runs the Admirals Club in Terminal A at Gate A25. The airport directory lists it open daily 4:15 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. with a full-service bar, pre-packaged snacks and Wi-Fi. Day-pass prices and entry rules are on aa.com or the AAdvantage app.

The IAH Executive Club in Terminal D is run by Houston Airports, not an airline. It is on Level 2 after security, near Gate D12. Houston Airports' August 2026 renovation news names British Airways, Emirates and EVA Airlines passengers, while the airport directory lists business or first class passengers of Air China, Emirates, EVA Air, Lufthansa and Qatar Airways, with hours of noon to 12:30 a.m. Hours follow the flights of the airlines at nearby gates, so check your boarding pass or airline.

The KLM Crown Lounge also admits Korean Air business and first class passengers, per the directory. Access to the Air France and KLM lounges depends on your ticket and airline, apart from Priority Pass entry, so confirm with the airline. A British Airways lounge sits in Terminal D near the chapel, opposite Gates D8 and D9; the airport directory does not list it, so ask British Airways for access rules.

Minute Suites and day rooms

Minute Suites is in Terminal C North, past security. The airport lists it at Gate C14, and Minute Suites lists Gate C15. It offers private rooms to nap, work or shower.

You book online at booking.minutesuites.com, and no membership is needed. A $5.00 non-refundable Clean & Serene fee applies to each reservation, and showers cost extra. Overnight stays are 8 consecutive hours between 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m., and an overnight reservation must start between 9:00 p.m. and midnight. Hourly and overnight rates show on the booking page for your dates.

To change a booking, call (281) 982-3116 or email info-iah@minutesuites.com. Cancel an hourly booking more than 3 hours ahead for a refund, and an overnight booking more than 12 hours ahead.

Priority Pass also lists Minute Suites at IAH, open all day. Check the Priority Pass page for what your membership covers.

Chase Sapphire and Capital One lounges

Chase's IAH guide lists no Chase Sapphire Lounge, and Houston Airports' directory lists no Capital One Lounge as of October 2026. Chase Sapphire Reserve includes Priority Pass Select, which covers the cardholder and two guests, so your card still works at the two Terminal D Priority Pass lounges. Chase says each additional guest is charged a fee.

American Express Platinum holders can use the Centurion Lounge in Terminal D.

Showers and places to rest

The airport names two places with showers inside security: the Centurion Lounge in Terminal D and Minute Suites in Terminal C. Nearby hotels may offer day rooms or gyms with showers for a special rate.

The USO in Terminal D, near Gate D8, serves U.S. military members and their families with TVs, computers and snacks. The airport's services page says 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily, while its directory says 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., so call ahead if you need it early or late.

IAH has free Wi-Fi in every terminal. Pick the network named Free Airport WIFI.

Before you go

Lounge hours and access rules change, and the sources sometimes disagree on gates and hours. Treat the gate numbers as a starting point and follow the lounge signs. Houston Airports does not publish lounge prices, so confirm with the operator before you pay.
