DTW Airport Lounges: Delta Sky Clubs, Lufthansa and More

Your airline, your card and your terminal decide this. The short version:

• Flying Delta (McNamara Terminal): a Delta Sky Club in Concourse A or C. Access depends on your ticket, membership or card.
• Flying Lufthansa or a Star Alliance partner from Evans: the Lufthansa lounge near Gate D8.
• Priority Pass: the Lufthansa lounge and Anita's Kitchen (Gate D23) in Evans, plus Gameway and Be Relax in McNamara.
• Military ID: a Freedom Center in each terminal, free.
• Amex Centurion, Capital One or Chase Sapphire lounge: none at DTW.

DTW's own terminal directory lists the Delta Sky Club near gates A43, A67 and A15, on Concourses B and C, and at the Central Link. American Express lists five club pages instead:

• Concourse A, across from Gate A18, Level 2 at the ExpressTram South Station.
• Concourse A, across from Gate A38, Departure Level at the Central Link.
• Concourse A, across from Gate A43. American Express lists showers here.
• Concourse A, across from Gate A68, Level 2 at the ExpressTram North Station.
• Concourse C, on the Departure Level near the entrance to Concourse C, between Gates C9 and B2.

The two lists do not match, and the American Express pages show no usable hours. Check Delta's locations page or the Fly Delta app for which clubs are open on your travel day. All five American Express pages list premium food, beer and wine, Wi-Fi, TVs and flight monitors, and say entry is for adults 18 and over.

Delta's access page lists these ways in.

• Sky Club members with same-day Delta or eligible partner flights (Delta Main Basic is excluded).
• Delta One and SkyTeam premium cabin passengers on qualifying same-day flights, with no guest included.
• Amex Platinum cardholders get 10 visits per Medallion Year. Amex Delta Reserve cardholders get 15 visits.
• Guests cost $50 each, or 5,000 miles for members (checked October 10, 2026).
• Once a card's visits are used up, a club visit costs $50 per person. Grab and Go costs $25 and does not include club access (checked October 10, 2026).

You can enter within 3 hours of departure or at any time during a layover. Delta no longer sells Single Visit Passes, though ones already issued work until the printed expiration date.

The Lufthansa lounge is past security near Gate D8. DTW's directory calls it the Lufthansa Club and lists a self-serve open bar and snacks. Its FAQ calls it the Senator Lounge, Priority Pass calls it the Lufthansa Business Lounge, and American Express places it between Gates 7 and 8.

Priority Pass lists Monday to Saturday hours of 6 a.m. to noon and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., a maximum stay of 3 hours and no entry outside those hours. American Express lists Sunday 6 a.m. to noon for Priority Pass cardholders. You must show a same-day DTW departure boarding pass. Access is not guaranteed and depends on space. Priority Pass and DTW list no day-pass price for this lounge, so ask at the door. Other websites give different hours, so call or check Lufthansa's site before you go.

DTW does not say who else can enter. Ask at the door if you fly another airline.

Priority Pass lists five DTW experiences, two in Evans and three in McNamara:

• Lufthansa Business Lounge, Evans Terminal (see above).
• Anita's Kitchen, Evans Terminal, near Gate D23, a Mediterranean restaurant. The Priority Pass page lists 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; DTW lists 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Gameway Classic, near Gate A15 in McNamara: 12 private gaming stations, snacks and drinks.
• Gameway ULTRA, near Gates A63 and A65: 10 private stations plus 6 classic stations.
• Be Relax Spa, near Gate A46: walk-in chair massages from 15 minutes. Priority Pass lists 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

DTW lists the Gameway rooms as open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Friday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends. Priority Pass lists 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Check which hours apply when you go. Priority Pass terms for each venue can differ, so confirm in the Priority Pass app.

Both terminals have a Freedom Center, run by Michigan Armed Forces Hospitality Centers. They are free and open to active duty, National Guard, reservists, service academy cadets, military dependents, retirees and veterans. You get food, drinks, TV, computers, seating and a children's area.

• McNamara: near Gate A43, phone (734) 247-2762. DTW lists 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Evans: near Gate D17, phone (734) 247-1084. DTW lists 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Volunteers staff them, so hours can change. DTW's directory lists both as before security, though they are near Gates A43 and D17. If you have already cleared screening, call ahead to ask whether you can reach them.

DTW has no American Express Centurion Lounge, Capital One Lounge or Chase Sapphire Lounge in the airport directory or on the card issuers' pages. American Express Platinum cardholders get Delta Sky Club visits when flying Delta, and the American Express site lists the Lufthansa lounge with a Priority Pass note. If you want a quiet seat without a lounge, McNamara's Embers Lounge at Gate B18 and The Shed Bar at Gate A8 are bars in McNamara (see our DTW food page).

Free Wi-Fi covers both terminals. DTW also lists a Multi-Sensory Room at the McNamara Central Link, across from Gate A38, open 24 hours and reached with an access code by phone. Nursing rooms in both terminals also use an access code by phone. The Be Relax spa and the Gameway rooms are the closest things to a paid break in McNamara.
