Hotels Near LAX Airport: Where to Catch the Hotel Shuttle

LAX hotel shuttles pick up on the Upper/Departures Level, at the stops marked by red curbside pylons. Many major airport-area hotels run a courtesy shuttle, and several say it runs 24 hours. We found no official LAX list of those hotels, so confirm the schedule with yours.

Your options at a glance

Where to wait for your hotel shuttle

Hotel shuttles stop on the Upper/Departures Level. Look for the red curbside pylons. Do not wait on the lower level.

The same red stops serve privately run off-airport parking shuttles, so check the name on the vehicle before you board. LAX publishes a waiting-areas map on flylax.com if you want to see the layout first.

Not the hotel shuttle

LAX runs other shuttles with their own colors. LAX-it is green, FlyAway is blue and the LAX Shuttle is pink. None of them is a hotel shuttle, so skip those stops.

Hotels that say they run a shuttle

These hotels state a shuttle on their own sites. Schedules can change, so confirm with the hotel.

  • Renaissance Los Angeles Airport Hotel: free, 24/7, every 15 minutes. The hotel says its shuttle is shared with a nearby hotel.
  • Hyatt Regency LAX: free, 24 hours, every 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles: 24-hour shuttle, less than a mile from the airport.
  • Los Angeles Airport Marriott: free, runs throughout the day, every day. No exact hours are posted.

The Renaissance, Marriott, Sheraton and Hyatt Regency, plus the Quality Inn below, also appear on this page with route buttons.

Hotels to ask before you count on a ride

For these hotels the details came from secondary sources or conflict, so check with the hotel before you go:

  • Hyatt House (reported on the hour and half hour) and Hyatt Place (reported 24/7), both on Century Blvd. Check with the hotel.
  • Courtyard LAX/Century Boulevard: a shuttle described as on request, not on a loop. Call when you land.
  • Residence Inn LAX/Century Boulevard: a 24-hour shuttle, but Marriott pages disagree on how often it runs.
  • Hilton Los Angeles Airport, Hilton Garden Inn LAX, Embassy Suites LAX North, Hampton Inn LAX, DoubleTree LAX/El Segundo and H Hotel: reported shuttles. DoubleTree is reported to stop at night, so check the hours.
  • Quality Inn & Suites LAX Airport: we found no shuttle hours, frequency or pickup point on its site. Call +1 310-671-7213.

How to pick for your trip

Late arrival or early flight: choose a hotel that states a 24-hour shuttle, such as the Renaissance, Hyatt Regency or Sheraton Gateway.

Want the shortest wait: the Renaissance and Hyatt Regency post a frequency, every 15 minutes and every 15 to 20 minutes.

Booking anything else: ask for the shuttle hours, the frequency and the exact pickup post before you pay.

Before you book

Ask four things: is the shuttle free, does it run at your arrival hour, which terminal stop does it use, and is the shuttle shared with another hotel. Hotels can change shuttle service without notice.

This page lists no room prices. Rates change daily, so check the hotel's own site.

If you cannot find your shuttle

Call the hotel first. For airport help you can call the LAX Helpline at (855) 463-5252.

Questions travelers ask

Where do hotel shuttles pick up at LAX?

On the Upper/Departures Level, at the stops marked by red curbside pylons. The same stops serve private off-airport parking shuttles.

Which LAX hotels have a free shuttle?

The Renaissance, Hyatt Regency, Sheraton Gateway and Los Angeles Airport Marriott all say they run a shuttle. The Renaissance and Hyatt Regency call theirs free or complimentary, and the Marriott says complimentary. Confirm the schedule with your hotel.

Is the hotel shuttle the same as LAX-it?

No. LAX-it is a green shuttle run by LAX, FlyAway is blue and the LAX Shuttle is pink. Hotel shuttles use the red-pylon stops on the Upper/Departures Level.

Does the hotel shuttle run 24 hours?

Several hotels say so, including the Renaissance (24/7), Hyatt Regency and Sheraton Gateway. Others post no hours, so ask before a late or early flight.

Does LAX publish a list of hotels with shuttles?

Not that we found. LAX only says many major airport-area hotels offer courtesy transportation. Ask the hotel for its schedule and the nearest red post.

How often does the Renaissance shuttle run?

The hotel says every 15 minutes, 24/7. Look for the Renaissance name, because its shuttle is shared with a nearby hotel.
