LAS to the Strip: Taxi Fares, Uber, Bus, Shuttle and Zoox

A taxi from LAS to the Strip costs a flat $21, $25 or $29, depending on the zone of your hotel (fares revised August 5, 2024, checked October 10, 2026). By road the Strip is roughly 3 to 5 miles and 8 to 11 minutes without traffic, and Downtown is about 7 to 10 miles. Uber, Lyft, shuttles, the RTC bus and the Zoox robotaxi also serve the airport. The Monorail does not.

Which way to the Strip is best?

For most travelers with bags, a taxi is the simplest start because the fare is a known flat rate: $21, $25 or $29 to the Strip. Uber and Lyft use app prices that change with demand. Group shuttles make several hotel stops, the Zoox robotaxi serves select Strip destinations, and the cheapest option is the RTC bus, which leaves from Terminal 1 only.

Terminal 3 is a separate building. From Terminal 3 the taxi stand, rideshare pickup, shuttles and Zoox are all at that terminal, but the RTC bus needs a free inter-terminal shuttle ride to Terminal 1 first.

Taxis and flat rate fares to the Strip

Taxis are regulated by the Nevada Taxicab Authority and every company accepts credit cards. Trips from the airport to Strip hotels use flat zone fares. The airport's flat rate map was revised August 5, 2024 and we checked it on October 10, 2026. It says direct trips from the airport to these places, and from them to the airport, must be charged as listed.

  • $21 (South Strip): Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Excalibur, MGM Grand, Four Seasons, Delano, Virgin Hotel, Motel 6 Tropicana.
  • $25 (Center Strip): Aria, Bellagio, Cosmopolitan, Paris, Park MGM, Planet Hollywood, New York New York, Vdara, The Signature, Horseshoe, Elara.
  • $29 (North Strip and beyond): Caesars Palace, Flamingo, Harrah's, The LINQ, Venetian, Palazzo, Wynn, Encore, Treasure Island, Resorts World, Fontainebleau, Sahara, Strat, Circus Circus, Las Vegas Convention Center, Rio, Palms, Westgate.

The full map lists more hotels. The fares cover direct trips only. To complain about a fare, call the Taxicab Authority at 702-668-4000.

  • Terminal 1: east side of baggage claim, outside doors 1 to 4. Airport staff help queue the line.
  • Terminal 3: outside baggage claim near door 52.

Companies include A Cab (702-369-5686), Deluxe (702-568-7700), Desert Cab (702-386-9102), Lucky Cab (702-477-7555), Nellis Cab (702-248-1111), Western Cab (702-736-8000), Whittlesea/Henderson (702-384-6111) and Yellow Checker Star (702-873-2000). If you leave something in a taxi, call the company or the Taxicab Authority. The airport does not handle items lost in taxis.

Uber and Lyft

Uber and Lyft are authorized at LAS. Drop off is at the regular departures curb at both terminals. Pickup is in the parking garages, not at the curb.

  • Terminal 1 pickup: Level 2 of the parking garage. Take the elevator near Door 2 up to Level 2, cross the pedestrian bridge, and the pickup area is on your right.
  • Terminal 3 pickup: Valet Level (Level V) of the garage. Take the elevator near Door 52, 54 or 56 up to the bridge level (the airport says Level 1 on one page and Level 2 on another), cross to the garage, then go down to Valet Level and follow the Ride Share signs.

The airport promotes the SAMI safety checklist: Stop before you get in, Ask the driver "What's my name?", Match the car and plate to the app, Inform a friend of your ride.

Zoox robotaxi

Zoox runs fully autonomous, all-electric rides between LAS and select Strip destinations. Pickup is on the Zero Level at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, and drop off is at the departures curbs. Book in the Zoox app. The airport page lists no fares, hours or destinations, so check the app before you count on it.

RTC Red Line and Route 108 buses

RTC buses stop at Terminal 1 on Level Zero. From baggage claim, take the elevator or escalator down, cross the crosswalk and veer right to the covered stop. From Terminal 3, ride the free inter-terminal shuttle to Terminal 1 first.

  • Red Line: the August 2026 timetable shows frequent, 24-hour service. It runs about every 12 minutes on weekdays during the day, and less often in the evening and overnight. On the Saturday timetable the ride from the airport takes about 8 minutes to Tropicana, 12 to Flamingo, 16 to Desert Inn and 20 to Sahara. The southern end is the South Strip Transit Terminal, 7 minutes from the airport. The line continues north to Bonneville Transit Center and Wellness Way (UMC).
  • Route 108 (Paradise): the first weekday bus leaves the airport at 4:19 a.m. and buses run about every 25 to 30 minutes. It reaches Tropicana in 6 minutes, Paradise and Desert Inn in 16, and the Sahara Monorail Station in 19.

RTC's fare page lists residential fares of $2 for a single ride, $3 for a 2-hour pass and $5 for a 24-hour pass. Express and Strip routes cost more, and the page does not say which category the Red Line is in, so confirm in the rideRTC app. Las Vegas news outlets report that RTC has proposed higher fares starting in January 2027 if adopted.

Shared and inter-city shuttles

Group shuttles make multiple stops at hotels and resorts. Terminal 1: west side of baggage claim, outside doors 7 to 13. Terminal 3: Level Zero, west end for domestic arrivals and east side for international. Providers: AWG Ambassador (1-702-740-3434), BellTrans (1-702-739-7990), Kaptyn (1-800-990-0417). The airport lists no fares, so ask each provider.

For towns outside Las Vegas: Aloha Airport Express (928-854-5253), Salt Lake Express (208-656-8824), St. George Shuttle (435-288-7928). Call for times and rates.

Limousines and private cars

Walk-up limos, SUVs and private shuttles need no reservation. Terminal 1: west side of baggage claim, doors 7 to 10. Terminal 3: Level Zero at each end of the building. A driver you booked in advance meets you in baggage claim.

Monorail and Vegas Loop

The Monorail does not serve LAS. The airport lists Vegas Loop as a way to ride to and from LAS but gives no pickup spot, price or hours. Check the Vegas Loop website or app before you plan around it.

Travel time to the Strip and Downtown
