Hotels Near TPA Airport: Free Shuttles and Marriott

The Tampa Airport Marriott is the one hotel at the airport itself, at 4200 George J. Bean Parkway. Westshore hotels two to three miles away list a free airport shuttle: Embassy Suites, Hampton Inn, Hilton Garden Inn, Fairfield Inn and TownePlace Suites. Hotel buses pick up on Level 1 of the Main Terminal, in the four ground transportation lots (Blue 1, Blue 2, Red 1 and Red 2).

Hotel buses and chartered buses load and unload in the four ground transportation lots on Level 1 of the Main Terminal. They are called Blue 1, Blue 2, Red 1 and Red 2. Look for the Ground Transportation icon on the airport map.

The west crossover drives on the Departure Level are closed to buses. Do not wait upstairs for a hotel shuttle.

TPA does not say which lot each hotel uses. Ask your hotel which one its shuttle serves.

Tampa Airport Marriott: the hotel at the airport

The Tampa Airport Marriott is at Tampa International Airport, 4200 George J. Bean Parkway, Tampa, FL 33607. Marriott's own page calls it an in-terminal hotel. The phone number is (813) 879-5151, the same number the airport lists in its service directory.

The hotel's page does not describe the walk from the terminal, so ask at check-in or call before you land.

Westshore hotels with a free airport shuttle

These hotels sit in the Westshore area near I-275, two to three miles from the terminal. Each hotel page says the shuttle is free. Shuttle hours are listed by only two of them, so call the others before you count on an early or late ride.

  • Hampton Inn Tampa-International Airport/Westshore, 4817 W. Laurel Street, Tampa, FL 33607. The hotel says it is three miles from the airport and offers a free shuttle.
  • Hilton Garden Inn Tampa Airport Westshore, 5312 Avion Park Drive, Tampa, FL 33607. The hotel says it is two miles from the airport with a free airport shuttle.
  • Fairfield Inn & Suites Tampa Westshore/Airport, 2215 North Lois Avenue, Tampa, FL 33607. Complimentary shuttle, daily from 4:40 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Reservation required.

Day pass and luggage storage

TPA does not offer luggage storage. The Tampa Airport Marriott sells day passes that also include luggage storage.

Hotel shuttle and accessibility

If you use a hotel or motel courtesy vehicle, TPA says to notify the provider in advance if you need assistance. Call the hotel before your trip and confirm the request.

If your hotel has no shuttle

Taxi service by Yellow Cab leaves from the curbside outside the Baggage Claim Level at Red 1 and Blue 2. Lyft, Uber and Wridz pick up at Red Express Curbside, Blue Express Curbside or the SkyCenter One remote curbside, and TPA adds a $5.00 service fee to the fare. Fees change, so check the airport's ground transportation page.
