Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport
MSP Gate Map: Concourses A to H, Terminals 1 and 2
MSP has two terminals, and you can't walk between them. Terminal 1 has Concourses A to G, and Terminal 2 has Concourse H. The letter of your gate is its concourse: a gate starting with H means Terminal 2, so check it before you leave, because the two terminals are on separate roadways.

How to get to your gate at MSP
Check your terminal first. Gates A to G are in Terminal 1, where Delta and most airlines are. Gates H are in Terminal 2, home of Frontier, Icelandair, Southwest and Sun Country. MSP says there is no pedestrian access between the two buildings.
At Terminal 1, the North and South checkpoints are both on the Ticketing level, and either one reaches Concourses A to G. The official map notes that TSA PreCheck and CLEAR PreCheck travelers currently use the South Checkpoint and other travelers the North Checkpoint. The Skyway checkpoint on the C and G connector bridge is temporarily closed; only its exit is open. At Terminal 2, the two checkpoints are on Level 2, near the Orange and Purple Ramp skyways. Checkpoint 2 is only for TSA PreCheck travelers, MSP RESERVE appointments and Priority members.
The official map can plan a route between two gates with a walking time; leave extra time if your gate is at the far end of a concourse.
Getting around Terminal 1
Concourses A to G sit around the Airport Mall, where you find the Escape Lounge, a Delta Sky Club and most of the food.
- Tram: the official map shows an airside tram with a stop in the Airport Mall, one near Gate C12 and one level down, near Concourse A. The map lists it from 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
- Skyway: a skyway links Concourses C and G. Take it from the mezzanine level between Gates C12 and C13.
- Walking path: MSP's official 1.4-mile loop runs along Concourse C from Gate C1 to C12, over the C and G skyway, through Concourse G and back through the Airport Mall.
Concourse G is being expanded from 2023 to 2029. The corridor between Gates G8 and G13 now follows a U-shaped route with several turns, so follow the posted signs.
Changing terminals: Terminal 1 to Terminal 2
Take the METRO Blue Line light rail. It is free between the two airport stations, no ticket needed, and travel between the terminals is available 24 hours a day. From 11 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., the Metro Blue Line airport shuttle takes over.
Both stations are on the public side. At Terminal 1, go down to the Tram Level, one level below bag claim, and take the tram to the Red and Blue Ramps. At Terminal 2, the station is on the north side of the Orange Ramp, reached from Level 1 near Ticketing. Both stations are outside security, so you need your boarding pass and ID to be screened again at the other terminal.
If you have trouble getting around, MSP runs a free shuttle with a wheelchair lift between Terminal 1 (Level 1 of the Brown Ramp) and Terminal 2 (Level 1 of the Purple Ramp), every 20 minutes from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Outside those hours, call 612-794-4147.
International gates at MSP
At Terminal 1, international arrivals are in Concourse G. MSP's Concourse G expansion raises international arrivals capacity from 10 gates to 13 and renovates the Customs and Border Protection spaces. Air France, KLM and Discover use Concourse G, and Aer Lingus and Air Canada use Concourse E, according to MSP's airline directory.
If you connect from an international flight at Terminal 1, Checkpoint 7 in Concourse G is only for international connecting travelers. When you land from abroad, MSP says you must claim all checked bags at the customs facility, whatever your final destination.
Icelandair uses Terminal 2. International passengers arriving there are greeted on Level 1 near Door 5.
Reading MSP gate numbers
Each gate is a concourse letter plus a number, from A2 to H14. Not every number is used. The official map's directory starts Concourse A at A2, and Concourse G has no G7, G8 or G16 but splits G6 into G6A and G6B. Concourse H adds H7A between H7 and H8.
The official map shows Gates H13 and H14 as a single entry, at one spot at the end of Concourse H. We list them as two gates so the finder above knows both.
Gates change, so check your boarding pass and the airport screens.
