Dallas Love Field's official directory lists 29 places to eat in its single terminal. Only 3 are before security. The earliest coffee opens at 4:30 a.m. after the checkpoint, and many restaurants close at 10 p.m.

What DAL has to eat

DAL has one terminal and 20 gates, so every restaurant is in the same building. The official dining directory lists 29 places: 3 before security and 26 after. You will find Whataburger, Campisi's, Cool River Cafe and Dickey's Barbecue Pit, plus Chick-fil-A, Chili's, Maggiano's and Starbucks.

The airport says hours are subject to change, so check the directory the day you fly.

Where the restaurants are

The terminal has 20 gates. After security, the directory locates some restaurants by gate:

  • Near Gate 6: Cantina Laredo and Starbucks (East, Gates 6 and 9)
  • Near Gate 7: La Madeleine
  • Near Gate 9: Auntie Anne's / Paciugo Gelato, Baskin Robbins / TexPress and Catch One
  • Near Gate 13: Jason's Deli and Starbucks (West, Gates 13 and 16)
  • Near Gate 16: Chili's

The directory also puts a Hops & Grapes in each of the East Wing and West Wing, and lists Turco35 in the west part of the terminal.

Open early

The checkpoint opens at 4:00 a.m. The earliest posted openers after security are at 4:30 a.m.: Dunkin' in the Concession Village, both Starbucks, Jason's Deli by Gate 13, La Madeleine by Gate 7 and LUV & GO in the Terminal Stem. Cantina Laredo, Chili's, Chick-fil-A, Moe's Southwest Grill and Whataburger open at 5 a.m.

Before security, Applebee's-IHOP and Dunkin' at Love Landing open at 6 a.m.

Open late

Many restaurants close at 10 p.m., including Cantina Laredo, Chili's, Chick-fil-A, Cool River Cafe, La Madeleine, Maggiano's, Campisi's and Moe's. Campisi's and Whataburger are listed as open until 10 p.m. or the last departure. Applebee's-IHOP before security is listed until 8 p.m. or the last scheduled departure flight. Check your gate area before a late flight, because the posted closing times vary.

The 24 hour question

The airport's A to Z guide mentions a 24/7 option at Love Landing. The dining directory, though, shows Dunkin' (Love Landing) open 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Fly Bar 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., with no overnight hours. The two do not match, so do not count on food overnight. Eat before you go if you have a very early or late flight.

Bars, coffee and quick bites

For a drink, the directory lists Fly Bar (before security), AV8 Bar Cafe, CRU Wine Bar, First Quarter Bar & Grill, and Hops & Grapes in the East and West wings. For coffee there are Starbucks east and west and Dunkin'. For something sweet, the directory lists Auntie Anne's with Paciugo Gelato and Baskin Robbins. LUV & GO and Jason's Deli both open at 4:30 a.m. if you want a quick bite.

Mobile ordering and extras

The airport's dining page does not mention mobile ordering. Ask at the counter or check each brand's app. Six Frost Bank ATMs are in the terminal, three before and three after security, and the amenities page lists water bottle refill stations and a shoe shine.

There is no separate food court. The Terminal Concession Village is the main cluster of restaurants after security, and the Terminal Stem has Maggiano's, First Quarter Bar & Grill, CRU Wine Bar and LUV & GO.
