Start at the new terminal
BUR opened its new terminal on October 13, 2026. For rail shuttles, follow signs to the ground floor of the parking structure opposite the terminal. Older directions mentioning Terminal B, Lot C or the former terminal walkway may send you to the wrong place.
Metrolink from Burbank Airport-North
For the Antelope Valley Line, walk about half a mile via Cohasset Street or request the free station shuttle at 818-729-2245. From the airport, follow signs to the shuttle pickup area on the ground floor of the parking structure opposite the terminal. At the station, the shuttle stop is on San Fernando Boulevard at the north end.
The shuttle runs from 4:45 a.m. to 1 a.m. During delayed or irregular flight operations, service continues until 45 minutes after the last flight. Check the train timetable before leaving the terminal; shuttle hours are not train hours.
Metrolink from Burbank Airport-South
The Ventura County Line uses Burbank Airport-South. From the terminal, take the free airport shuttle to the Regional Intermodal Transportation Center, or RITC, then cross Empire Avenue to the station. From the station, cross Empire Avenue and board at the designated curb in the RITC ground-floor bus area. You do not need to phone for this shuttle.
Shuttle hours are 4:45 a.m. to 1 a.m., extended until 45 minutes after the last flight during delayed or irregular operations. BurbankBus lists the terminal-to-RITC shuttle interval as 8 to 10 minutes.
Amtrak Pacific Surfliner also serves the Hollywood Burbank Airport station at 3750 Empire Avenue, Burbank, CA 91505. Use the South station connection through the RITC. Check the operator timetable and request a fare for your date before booking; do not rely on the outdated claim that the station is steps from the terminal.
Rail fares and downtown Los Angeles
Metrolink lists a $5 L.A. Zone Day Pass covering both airport stations, Burbank-Downtown, Glendale and L.A. Union Station. It permits unlimited same-day travel within the listed zone and expires at 3 a.m. the next day. Metrolink tickets include transfers to most local transit operators, including LA Metro.
For example, the published weekday Antelope Valley timetable gives 26 minutes from Burbank Airport-North to L.A. Union Station and 6 minutes to Burbank-Downtown. These are scheduled train times only; add walking or shuttle time and the wait for your train.
Check the current timetable for your travel day and station. We could not confirm one reliable door-to-door journey time to downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood or downtown Burbank. Use your destination address in the operator trip planner and allow for the airport connection. Prices were checked October 15, 2026; confirm before purchase.
BurbankBus to North Hollywood
The Orange Route still stops at the RITC after the terminal move. Take the airport shuttle to reach it. The bus connects with North Hollywood Station and the Metro B and G lines.
The bus costs $1 one way. You can pay with cash, TAP or a supported contactless card. The currently linked timetable lists Monday through Friday service, 5:30 a.m. to 10:37 p.m., with 15-minute morning and 20-minute midday service. These are route-wide hours, not the first and last departures at every stop. Check the live map and timetable for your departure. Service excludes the holidays listed in the timetable.
Metro connections for Hollywood and beyond
Metro buses 169 and 222 also serve the RITC. Line 169 runs toward Canoga Station via Saticoy Street and Valley Circle Boulevard. Line 222 connects with Universal City/Studio City and Hollywood/Vine. Take the airport shuttle to the RITC and consult the current Metro timetable for your travel day, including weekends.
North Hollywood is an interchange for the Metro B and G lines. Check the Metro route planner for your final stop before boarding. Metro lists a $1.75 regular one-way fare and free transfers within two hours when you tap to ride, excluding round trips.
BurbankBus is a separate operator. Its published brochure contains conflicting transfer-price instructions, so confirm the interagency charge before traveling rather than assuming the Metro transfer rule covers your bus leg. Fares were checked October 15, 2026.
Private and hotel shuttles
The airport lists PrimeTime Shuttle for door-to-door trips at 800-733-8267. A published fixed fare, frequency and service window were not found; confirm these and the pickup point when booking.
Several local hotels provide their own shuttle. Contact your hotel for availability and the current pickup location before leaving baggage claim.
