Lots are often full, so check first
Surface lots often fill up. The airport posts live parking status on its home page, and Lot 5B opens as overflow when needed. Call (860) 627-3555 for availability.
The airport says its peak hours are typically 4 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. It suggests arriving at the ticket counter at least 90 minutes before a domestic flight. Add parking and shuttle time on top of that.
The garage
The garage costs $30 per day or $135 per week. The airport says it is easy to reach on foot from Terminal A. It has added a multi-million-dollar parking guidance system in the garage to help you find a space.
If you are meeting someone arriving at Terminal A, the airport says to park in the garage, go into the terminal and wait on the ground floor near the Information Center.
The parking site says the garage is the closest parking to all airlines in Terminal A. Height limit: 6 feet 8 inches, except the ground floor at 9 feet 6 inches. Services include lost car locate, tire inflation and battery jumps. The garage has a weekly rate of $135 for 5 to 7 days.
Surface lots: Express, Park & Walk and Economy
BDL runs Express Lot 1 ($12 per day), Park & Walk Lot 2 ($10), Economy Lot 3 ($8) and Economy Lot 4 ($7). Lot 5B is $35 per week and takes card payments only.
Lot 2 is a Park & Walk lot only. It sits across from Terminal B, and you reach that terminal by a crosswalk. Lot 3 is on Schoephoester Road.
The official parking map places Express Lot 1 near Terminal B and Lot 2 next to Terminal B. Economy Lot 3 is southeast of the terminals, and Economy Lot 4 is farther south along Route 75. Lot 5B is an overflow lot, open only when needed, just north of the cell phone lot on Light Lane. You pay a cashier when you enter Lot 5B.
Express Lot 1 is also a short walk from Terminal A and Terminal B. Lot 2 takes credit cards only.
Parking shuttles
The airport says its parking shuttles run every ten minutes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. That covers early flights too.
Passengers arriving at Terminal B can take an airport shuttle to the parking facilities or to Terminal A.
The parking site says Express Lot 1, Economy Lot 3 and Economy Lot 4 have free shuttles to Terminal A for all airlines, on a continuous loop around the clock. Lot 1 has its own shuttles. At Lots 3 and 4, drivers help with luggage, trunk to trunk. Lot 2 has no shuttle: you walk.
Free cell phone waiting lot
Picking someone up? Use the free Cell Phone Waiting Lot on Light Lane. The airport says it is less than three minutes by car from Terminal A.
Wait there until your passenger has landed, collected bags and called you. Waiting is not allowed at the curb or at the arrivals pick-up area. The lot has 2 electric vehicle charging stations.
The airport does not publish a time limit or hours for the lot. Quick curbside pick-up and drop-off is allowed in front of the terminals, but you cannot leave your vehicle unattended.
Meeting passengers at Terminal B
Most international flights clear customs at Terminal B. The exceptions are Aer Lingus and Air Canada, which pre-clear customs and arrive at Terminal A. To meet a Terminal B arrival, follow the overhead signs for Terminal B, continue past Terminal A and stay in the left lane for Lot 2.
Lot 2 is across from Terminal B. Once you park, walk to the terminal by the connecting crosswalk.
Lot 3 expansion and new spaces
Construction to expand Surface Lot 3 on Schoephoester Road is under way. The airport said in August 2026 that it was approaching its midpoint and would finish in the winter. The project adds more than 1,500 spaces, about 20% more parking overall. It includes moving the entrance and exit plaza, so expect changes around Lot 3 until it is done.
Separately, the Ground Transportation Center includes 830 new public parking spaces. More than half are covered. The rest are surface spots next to the building. The airport does not say how those spaces map to the lots in the rate table.
Accessible parking and drop-off
Designated parking for vehicles displaying proper identification is available in the garage and in each surface lot. Remember that Lot 2 is Park & Walk only.
Drop-off is on the upper level and pick-up is on the lower level. Waiting is not allowed at the curb.
We found no published EV charging in the garage or paid lots. The only EV chargers the airport confirms are the 2 in the cell phone lot. No reservation is needed. Lot 2 and Lot 5B take cards only, and the other lots do not list their payment methods, so bring a card. The sPARK Rewards frequent parker program gives 1 point per dollar spent, redeemable for free days.
