Hotels Near BDL Airport: The Sheraton and 8 Shuttle Hotels

BDL says it is one of a handful of U.S. airports with a full-service hotel attached to the main terminal. It is the Sheraton Hartford Hotel at Bradley Airport, 1 Bradley International Airport, Windsor Locks, CT 06096. Phone (860) 627-5311.

Its own listing places it inside the airport, between Terminals A and B, with 237 pet-friendly rooms, a restaurant, Concorde's, and a bar, Cloud Nine Bar and Lounge.

That makes it the simplest choice for a very early flight or a late arrival, because you do not need to wait for a ride.

The airport places the second TSA checkpoint between the United Airlines ticket counter and the hallway to the Sheraton Hotel. Use that spot as your landmark.

The airport does not publish a walking time. If someone drives you to the hotel, give them the street address, 1 Bradley International Airport, Windsor Locks.

DoubleTree says the airport is less than one mile away, Days Inn says one mile, and Holiday Inn Express says it is across the street. La Quinta says it sits at the entrance to the airport.

Only Econo Lodge Inn & Suites lists a 24-hour shuttle. The other listings give no shuttle hours, and none gives a pickup spot. Call the hotel before you book, and ask if the shuttle is free, if it runs at your arrival hour and where it picks up.

The airport says the new exit corridors on the east and west sides of the main terminal lead to ground transportation and shuttles on the arrivals level. At Candlewood Suites, you call the hotel from baggage claim when you land.

Several hotels sell park and fly stays. Candlewood Suites lists parking for up to 10 days, La Quinta up to seven nights, and Econo Lodge lists sleep, park and fly packages. Ask for the current terms, because these listings can be dated.

The terminal expansion that began in March 2023 ended with a new concourse. It is part of an 80,000-square-foot facility directly behind the Sheraton Hotel. It was completed in January 2026. The airport has not published which airlines use it, so check your gate on your boarding pass.

Two new exit corridors, on the east and west sides of the main terminal, now lead arriving passengers to baggage claim, car rentals, ground transportation and shuttles on the arrivals level. The old center exit lane is permanently closed. If you stay off-airport, ask your hotel where its shuttle picks up on the arrivals level.

BDL has a main checkpoint and a second checkpoint closer to the Sheraton. CLEAR members without PreCheck should use the main checkpoint. The second checkpoint screens PreCheck and CLEAR Plus with PreCheck passengers.

The airport's pages disagree on PreCheck. One page says PreCheck lanes moved to the second checkpoint. A newer article says PreCheck is once again at the main checkpoint. Follow the signs on the day, and check the airport's security page before you go.

BDL is in Windsor Locks. Downtown Hartford is about 15 miles (24 km) by road. Airport pages give 15 to 30 minutes by car, depending on traffic.

Without a car, the CTtransit 30-Bradley Flyer links Terminal A with the Connecticut Convention Center and Union Station in Hartford. CTtransit's timetable shows the first bus from Terminal A at 4:33 a.m. and the last at 12:10 a.m., every day. Ask your Hartford hotel how far it is from those stops.
