BDL Airport Restaurants: Open Early, Late and Pre-Security

BDL's official directory lists 16 dining spots, and only three are before security. A new Dunkin' has also opened at the entrance to the gates 1 to 12 concourse. The earliest opener is Tap & Pour in the gates 1 to 12 concourse at 3 a.m., and the landside Paradies Avanti Market is listed as 24/7. Many places close at 8 p.m., so a late arrival can leave you with few choices.

How food at BDL is laid out

The airport's directory lists 16 dining entries, including the Escape Lounge. They sit in four areas: the Gates 1-12 concourse, the Gates 21-30 concourse, the airside lobby after the security checkpoint, and the landside lobby before it.

The directory groups places by concourse or lobby, not by terminal. Everything in the directory is covered by this page, plus a Dunkin' that opened in 2026 at the entrance to the gates 1 to 12 concourse. It lists no food in Terminal B, the international arrivals building, so eat after you reach Terminal A.

Hours below are the single daily range in the directory. It does not say whether hours change by day or season, so confirm with the venue if you are planning around a closing time. The airport's full list is on bradleyairport.com under Dining + Shopping.

Open early: coffee and breakfast from 3 a.m.

Most early options are past security. Before security, only the 24/7 market and the landside Dunkin' are open at that hour. The directory shows:

  • 3 a.m.: Tap & Pour (Gates 1-12).
  • 3:45 a.m.: Dunkin' (Gates 21-30), Dunkin' (airside lobby) and McDonald's (airside lobby). The landside Dunkin' also opens at 3:45 a.m.
  • 4 a.m.: Beercode Kitchen & Bar and D'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches (Gates 21-30), and Starbucks (airside lobby).
  • 5 a.m.: Two Roads Tap Room (Gates 1-12), Auntie Anne's / Carvel Ice Cream (Gates 21-30) and Jamba Juice (airside lobby).

The Escape Lounge opens at 4:30 a.m. (details below).

Open late: what is still serving in the evening

Four spots are listed until the last departure: McDonald's (airside lobby), Dunkin' in the airside lobby, Dunkin' in Gates 21-30, and Beercode Kitchen & Bar in Gates 21-30. The directory words it as the last departure flight, so a late flight can change when they close.

Before security, Paradies Avanti Market is listed as 24/7 and the landside Dunkin' runs until 12:30 a.m.

Everything else closes earlier. Tap & Pour closes at 8:30 p.m. Starbucks, D'Angelo, Putnam Tavern, Two Roads Tap Room, Urban Lodge and the Samuel Adams Brewhouse close at 8 p.m. Auntie Anne's / Carvel and Jamba Juice close at 5 p.m.

Some open late in the day. Urban Lodge opens at 9 a.m., Putnam Tavern at 10 a.m. and the Samuel Adams Brewhouse at 11 a.m.

Eating before security

Three places are in the landside lobby:

  • Paradies Avanti Market: 24/7.
  • Dunkin': 3:45 a.m. to 12:30 a.m.
  • Samuel Adams Brewhouse: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

That is the whole pre-security list. For the widest choice, plan to eat after the checkpoint. The airport's dining page can be filtered by pre-security and post-security.

Gates 1-12 concourse

Tap & Pour opens at 3 a.m. and closes at 8:30 p.m. Two Roads Tap Room runs 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Escape Lounge is also in this concourse (details below).

A new Dunkin' has opened at the entrance to this concourse. Its hours are not yet in the airport directory.

Sparrow Pizza, a West Hartford restaurant, is scheduled to open a sit-down location in this concourse in early 2027.

Gates 21-30 concourse

This concourse has five listings:

  • Beercode Kitchen & Bar: 4 a.m. to the last departure.
  • Dunkin': 3:45 a.m. to the last departure.
  • D'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches: 4 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Putnam Tavern: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Auntie Anne's / Carvel Ice Cream: 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Airside lobby, after security

The airside lobby sits just past the checkpoint. It has Urban Lodge, Dunkin', Starbucks, McDonald's and Jamba Juice.

Urban Lodge Brewing Co. is a craft brewery and taproom with a family-friendly food menu, open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The airport says it is BDL's largest dining space, in the former Black Bear Saloon spot.

Starbucks runs 4 a.m. to 8 p.m., McDonald's 3:45 a.m. to the last departure, and Jamba Juice 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Escape Lounge: buffet food with a fee

The Escape Lounge is past security near Gate 1 and listed 4:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Food and drinks are included with entry.

Access is $45 if you pre-book and $60 for walk-up. Priority Pass holders can pre-book. The lounge page lists free access for American Express Platinum Card Members, and for Delta SkyMiles Reserve Card Members on a Delta-marketed flight that day. Check with the check-in desk. New restaurants coming

Urban Lodge Brewing Co. has already opened, and so has a Dunkin' at the entrance to the gates 1 to 12 concourse. Chick-fil-A was announced in July 2026 for the food court this fall, next to McDonald's. Sergio's Go, a Cuban-inspired spot, has no opening date. Sparrow Pizza is scheduled for early 2027 in the gates 1 to 12 concourse. Check bradleyairport.com before you count on any of them.

Ordering ahead and gate delivery

The airport's dining page does not mention mobile ordering. Ask the venue or check its own app.

One option is the airport's Concierge Service, run with Travelers Aid International. It lists delivering food directly to the gate, along with check-in help and priority access through the TSA checkpoint. You book through the form on the Concierge Service page.
