Where the AUS rental car facility is
The Consolidated Rental Car Facility sits right behind the Red Garage, the garage closest to the terminal, on the north side as you look from the departures level. Avis and Enterprise list it at 3819 Presidential Blvd, Austin, TX 78719. AUS itself prints no street address for the facility, so check the address in your map app against your confirmation email.
The terminal address is 3600 Presidential Blvd. Do not drive to the old South Terminal at 10000 Logistics Lane. It has been closed since April 1, 2026.
How to get from the terminal to your car
AUS has one terminal, the Barbara Jordan Terminal, and the rental center is a short walk from it. Avis tells arriving passengers to take the escalator down to baggage claim, then go back up by escalator to the third level and cross the bridge walkway to the rental car area. It puts the walk from the bridge entrance at about 100 yards. (One Avis FAQ describes the counter as across the street from the terminal, so confirm the route in your Avis confirmation.) Enterprise says to use the marked pedestrian crosswalks.
Two trams also run near the facility:
- The Mobility Tram leaves from the third floor of the Red Garage, just across the pedestrian walkway from the departures level. It takes you to the Rental Car Facility entrance, from where an elevator or stairwell leads down to the rideshare pickup on the second floor.
- The rideshare tram leaves from the first floor of the Red Garage and serves rideshare and taxi pickup. It is not the rental car shuttle.
AUS describes the Mobility Tram as a pilot for travelers with limited mobility, and most AUS pages give it as 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, subject to change.
Mobility Tram hours
Per most AUS pages (ground transportation, Travel & Security and AUS For All), the Mobility Tram runs every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., subject to change.
Two other AUS pages differ. The travel tips FAQ says every day from 4 a.m. to 8 p.m. The accessibility page says Monday, Tuesday and Friday to Sunday from 4 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. If you need the tram, ask your airline or check flyaustin.com on the day you fly. If you can walk, the bridge is the simpler route.

Counter hours
AUS publishes no shared hours for the rental center, so each company sets its own. Avis lists Sunday to Friday 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. to midnight. Enterprise lists 6:30 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. every day. Hours on company pages change, so call before a very early or late flight.
Enterprise says after-hours returns go in a marked return lane, with keys left in the secure drop box next to the kiosk.
Returning your car
Follow the rental car return signs on airport property. The facility is next to the Red Garage, and AUS suggests arriving at least 2.5 hours before a domestic flight and 3 hours before an international one, especially if you are returning a rental car.
If you need gas first, AUS points to the Texaco station and convenience store at 2901 Spirit of Texas Drive, outside the terminal area. It is also the cell phone waiting lot.
Fees, Turo and off-airport options
AUS publishes no fee schedule (customer facility charge or concession fee) for rental cars on flyaustin.com. Your rental quote lists taxes and fees, so read it before you book.
Turo has a delivery permit at AUS. Turo's help page says hosts may deliver only to the Blue Garage, Red Garage, Economy Parking and H Lot/Overflow Parking, or to Park My Share at The Parking Spot, 1600 Hwy. 71 East. Curbside pickup or drop-off anywhere on airport property is not allowed. Follow your host's instructions and confirm where the handoff happens.
AUS's ground transportation page names no off-airport rental agency.
If you are renting only for a day in town, a bus or rideshare may cost less than a car plus parking. See our Austin getting to the city page.
