Lounges at SMF

SMF has two lounges, both called Escape Lounges and run by CAVU. One is in Terminal A and one is in Terminal B. The airport says each lounge is open to all passengers regardless of airline, and both are past security.

We found no airline lounge, such as a Delta Sky Club, United Club or Admirals Club, listed on the airport's pages or directory. If your airline sells lounge access, check with the airline.

Terminal A Escape Lounge

The Terminal A lounge is on the upper level past security, near Gate A10. Terminal A is where American, Delta, United and Air Canada fly.

The airport lists it as open daily 4:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with a 9:00 PM close on Thursday and Friday. Escape Lounges lists a 10:00 PM close on Thursday and Friday, and Priority Pass lists the same. Hours can change, so check before you go.

Terminal B Escape Lounge

The Terminal B lounge is on the upper level, on the immediate left after you exit security. In Terminal B, you check in in the main building, take the Automated People Mover from level 3 to Concourse B, then go through the TSA checkpoint there. The lounge is the first thing on your left. Terminal B is where Southwest, Alaska, JetBlue, Frontier, Aeromexico and Volaris fly.

The airport's lounge page lists daily hours of 4:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with a 9:00 PM close on Thursday and Friday. Escape Lounges lists a 9:00 PM close on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The airport's dining directory shows a typo for this lounge ("8:00AM"), so use the lounge pages above.

Escape Lounge prices and booking

Both lounges show the same prices on the Escape Lounges site as of October 15, 2026:

  • Prebooked: from $45 per person
  • Walk-up: $60 per person

Both Escape Lounges pages say cancellation is free up to 24 hours before entry and children under 3 enter free. Amex says children under 2 are free with an adult. Prices change, so confirm on the Escape Lounges site. The pages do not state how long you can stay.

Priority Pass at SMF

Both SMF lounges accept Priority Pass. You can prebook, and you must bring your Priority Pass card on the day. Priority Pass says digital cards are accepted.

At Terminal A, Priority Pass says you can enter up to 3 hours before your scheduled departure, with smart casual dress. Standard alcoholic drinks are included and premium brands cost extra. You must be 21 to drink alcohol.

Amex Platinum and Delta SkyMiles Reserve

Escape Lounges offers free access to American Express Platinum Card members at both SMF lounges. American Express says access is not guaranteed and depends on space.

Delta SkyMiles Reserve Card members also get free access, as long as they fly on a Delta-marketed flight that day. Delta flies from Terminal A. The Escape Lounges site says to check in at the lounge desk.

Centurion, Chase Sapphire and Capital One lounges

We found no American Express Centurion Lounge at SMF. American Express lists the Terminal B Escape Lounge as the only lounge in that terminal for the Platinum Card.

We also found no Chase Sapphire Lounge and no Capital One Lounge at SMF. Card benefits change, so check your card issuer before you plan around a lounge visit.

What is inside

The Escape Lounges site lists hot and cold food, soft drinks and alcoholic drinks, Wi-Fi, charging ports, and print, scan and copy services at both lounges. The airport describes complimentary drinks, seasonal food, and cozy corners with spaces to work.

If you skip the lounge

SMF has several sit-down options past security. Terminal A has Magpie Cafe, Vino Volo and New Helvetia Brewing. Terminal B has Cafe Bernardo and Nixtaco. See our SMF food guide for the full list.
