Hotels Near DEN Airport: Shuttle Pickup and 24/7 Rides

The Westin Denver International Airport sits inside the airport complex, just up the escalator from the Transit Center. Everyone else rides a hotel shuttle, and DEN says over 40 hotels within 10 miles run shuttles, and its list names 43. All shuttles load on Level 5, and DEN's pickup map puts hotel shuttles at Island 3. Hours differ a lot, so check yours.

Your options at a glance

Where to catch your hotel shuttle

Hotel shuttles pick up on Level 5 of the Jeppesen Terminal, at Island 3. DEN gives four doors for the island: 505, 507, 510 and 512. Your hotel will tell you which one it uses.

A common pattern in the DEN list: door 512 on the west side and door 505 on the east side. Collect your bags first, then go out to the curb.

The terminal has construction going on. DEN says access between Level 5, the Plaza, the Westin and the Transit Center stays open through the corridors along baggage claim on both the east and west sides. Follow the signs.

The hotel inside the airport

The Westin Denver International Airport is a 519-room hotel and conference center. DEN says it is just steps from the main terminal and just up the escalator from the Transit Center, where the A Line train and shuttles run.

No shuttle needed. DEN also says the hotel lobbies on the east and west sides of the Transit Center have elevators up to Level 5 check-in, baggage claim and arrivals, and to the security checkpoints.

The hotel's Sky Lounge is on Level 6, center, with a full bar and a view. It is open daily 3 p.m. to 12 a.m.

DEN's Westin page gives no phone number. Book through the Westin's own website, and check the price there.

Shuttles that run all night

These hotels list a 24/7 shuttle on a fixed loop. Times are as printed by DEN.

  • AmericInn Hotel & Suites: every 30 minutes, 24/7.
  • Avid Hotel: every 30 minutes, 24/7 (shared, see below).
  • Courtyard by Marriott, 6901 Tower Road: every 30 minutes, 24/7.
  • Embassy Suites DIA: every 30 minutes, at :15 and :45, 24/7.
  • La Quinta: every 30 minutes, 24/7.
  • Ramada by Wyndham DIA: every 45 minutes, 24/7.
  • Microtel: hourly at :25, 24/7.
  • Fairfield Inn & Suites Gateway: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, door 505.
  • Residence Inn DIA: 24/7, doors 512 and 505.

On-call shuttles, 24/7

On call means no loop. You phone the hotel when you land and the shuttle comes to you. DEN lists these as on call all day and night:

  • Cambria Suites
  • Element DIA
  • Hilton Garden Inn (16475 E 40th Cir)
  • Hilton Garden Inn Tower Road
  • Homewood Suites Tower Road
  • Home2 Suites by Hilton
  • Quality Inn & Suites Gateway
  • Staybridge Suites
  • Sylo by Ramada (call (303) 367-5000)
  • Tru by Hilton Denver Airport

Call from the curb or as soon as you have bags. Wait times are not published.

Shuttles with set hours

If your flight lands late or leaves early, read the hours. Examples from DEN's list:

  • Fairfield Inn by Marriott (Tower Road): every 30 minutes, 3:30 a.m. to 11:45 p.m.
  • Holiday Inn Express: at :15 and :45, 3:30 a.m. to 11:45 p.m.
  • Spark by Hilton: every half hour, 3:45 a.m. to 11:45 p.m., then 12:30 a.m. and 1:30 a.m.
  • Springhill Suites: every 30 minutes, 3:15 a.m. to 11:45 p.m.
  • DoubleTree Denver and Days Inn & Suites: hourly at :15, 4:15 a.m. to 11:15 p.m.
  • Aloft, Marriott Gateway and Quality Inn & Suites Tower: every 30 minutes, 4 a.m. to 12 a.m.
  • Hyatt House and Hyatt Place Pena Station: every 30 minutes, 4 a.m. to midnight.
  • Comfort Inn & Suites, Sleep Inn & Suites and Mainstay Suites: hourly at :25, 3 a.m. to 12 a.m.
  • Hampton Inn & Suites (Airport Way), Homewood Suites (Airport Way) and Woolley's Classic Suites: on call. Homewood and Woolley's go from 3:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.; Hampton Inn & Suites from 3:30 a.m. to midnight.

A landing after the last run means a taxi or rideshare, or a hotel with a 24/7 shuttle.

Shared shuttles: read the name on the van

Many hotels split one shuttle. DEN's list says:

  • Avid, Homewood Suites Tower Road, Home2 Suites, Residence Inn DIA and Tru share one shuttle.
  • Embassy Suites DIA and La Quinta share one.
  • Holiday Inn Express, DoubleTree and Spark by Hilton share one. Days Inn & Suites is listed with Spark.
  • Comfort Inn & Suites, Sleep Inn & Suites, Microtel and Mainstay Suites share one.
  • Hyatt House and Hyatt Place Pena Station share one.
  • Hampton Inn & Suites (Airport Way), Homewood Suites (Airport Way) and Woolley's Classic Suites share one.

A shared shuttle may stop at more than one hotel before yours.

Hotels to call before you count on a ride

Some DEN entries are unclear or look like typos. Call the hotel:

  • Hampton Inn (6290 Tower Road) and Wingate by Wyndham: DEN prints 4 a.m. to 12 p.m. as the hours, where midnight is likely. Ask for the real last run.
  • Atwell Suites: DEN prints an hourly shuttle from 4 a.m. to 12 a.m., then on call from 12 p.m. to 1 a.m. That overlaps, so call to confirm.
  • Courtyard by Marriott, 6901 Tower Road: DEN says Island 5, door 512, while the pickup page lists hotel shuttles at Island 3. Ask which curb.
  • Hyatt Place (16250 E 40th Ave): on call, 4 a.m. to midnight.

DEN does not say whether any shuttle is free. Ask when you call.

Before you book

Ask four things: does the shuttle run when you land, what is the pickup door, is it free, and is the van shared with another hotel. DEN says hotels run shuttles to and from the airport, and that you contact your hotel for shuttle times.

This page shows no room rates. Prices change by date, so check them on the hotel's own site.

No shuttle at your hotel? DEN's Transit Center, on Level 1 below the Westin, connects to the A Line train and RTD buses, and taxis and rideshare load on Level 5.
